Work today was more of fun then work. Do bar again.. this time in Bar Rouge... previously in Island. Learnt to make a whole new different cocktail...
Blue Lagoon...
1pac Vodka
1/2 Blue Carucao
10ml lime cordial/juice
top up with 7-up
garnish with cherry and lemon wedge
Tequila Sunrise
1pac tequila
120ml orange juice
grenadine syrup for float
garnish with orange wedge
Yup... that's all the cocktail i made for the day... besides opening a few beer bottles and do housepour mixers. The whole time i spent was learning how to flair using the shaker and a make-shift bottle. And looking at bar tricks.. like balancing a rock glass on it's edge... balancing 3 rock glass half of each glass above each other. Then went on to balance 3 collins, 3 erdinger glass... and 3 jugs!! Lol...
During our dinner break... the bar captain was just telling us jokes and doing tricks... that i can hardly catch at times...

'Don, you do bar, ok?'
My heart sank for a moment. The bar needed more people and there's a good number of floor staff. Because in there, mistakes have to be a minimal, or best no mistakes at all. But it can be fun.
Right... not getting use to it at the beginning... tapped beer like i'm at the first day doing bar...
But made a few cocktail today. Started off with
Grasshopper...
1 pac peppermint liqueur
1/2 pac creme de cocao or cocoa.. forgot the spelling...
and milk.
Build in cocktail glass garnish with cherry and mint leaf.
Long Island Tea...
1/2 pac of the 5 whites (gin, vodka, rum, tequila and triple sec)
Lime juice,
shake,
top up with pepsi. Garnish with lemon.
The only cocktail i could really remember is Lychee Martini... coz i use to make a lot during my days at Acid.
Lychee Martini
1pac Vodka
1/2pac lychee liqueur
10ml lychee syrup
shake,
Pour in Martini glass garnish with lychee
Yea... then the rest is just a spirit, then mixer... i shall try and learn and memorise 2-3 cocktails each time i work in the bar.. yea man...

Man... not many people clubbing at Rouge... boring. Who's Your Lolli? event happening on 27th July... will it be a success??
Finally all members of Inferhyme turned up... it sure sounded different without a bassist the last time. Our aim.. to practise and jam once a week... to improve coordination and learn new songs at least once a month or so.
I hate projects... althought it's problem-based learning... it's too many subject projects at once la...
Feeling lost empty frustrated... tired... I wanna take my license!!!

What an incident to kick my day. Boarded the bus to sch in the morn... it was getting packed. This guy, who was a commuter himself, started pulling the students to go the top level of the bus. He was literally PULLING. And I was freaking next in line to be pulled. Like WTF. He vice-gripped my arm, and I just stared at him like what the hell. Next moment he just pulled my sleeve like mad and just kept saying 'go up, go up, you're a student in TP right? Go up.' I just stared at him. Next thing he said, "you behave ah", I mean what the heck. I ain't spoiling my day to this guy. I went up and told him 'if people wants to go up let them go up themselves.' of course calmly. I mean WTH la... early... i was hardly awake lor... then being dragged up the bus. GET A LIFE MISTER.
Ah sch... my friends in 1H09 celebrated my birthday with a cake, Blackforest. I ain't 19 yet......... haha. But it was thoughtful and sweet of them. Thanks to Cherina, I had to do a little bit of clean up. My heart-felt thanks to you guys.
Ah... 6pm to meet at Rouge Outdoors... ended up meeting at 8.20pm.. lol. Pizzas, fries and wedges were dinner... complimented with 2 jugs of Tiger. And yes it was a great surprise from them. A cake! And guess what, Blackforest, again!! Lol... had Heineken and Lychee Breeze... that's all... sad right. Beer night for me... other time la. Caught the last train back to tamp. And chilled at mac till i think 1.30am?

This is the VIP area...
The new test has just begun. Firstly, NO more smoking is allowed in Clubs and Bars. That's one... but Rouge will have a smoking area ready on 18th July. Secondly, the band playing everyday at Rouge has moved on, so the usual crowd, the supporters of the band, we'll not be seeing them. True Colours is taking over as the band in Rouge. Hopefully they'll attract the crowd.

Bottles! Yea... a lot of people bought bottles for drinking... that will be a few commision for me!! Well, 'last day' before GST rise, but not many people turned up for club.
Project deadlines all damn packed... research here and there... still can't find which is suitable. Haiy...
