The Boys of 3074 - Nesh, Man, Min, Liff, Mi and Me
This is one of the best and exciting 'educational' trip I ever went!
Well about 4 hours trip to Malacca. In between we stopped twice. The second stop was at a golf course resort... 16 RM per square feet.... still remember that. We had our lunch in a housefly- infested restaurant in the resort. Food tasted sucky but alright to fill the stomach. Oh and the scenery was nice. Then we carried on our journey. MP3 was my entertainment throughout the trip...
Finally reach Malacca. We stopped at 'Kampong Cantik' i think or Beautiful Village. They showed us how Latex was collected and traditionally solidify it, sqeeze the water out of the latex and leave to dry i think. Crossed the road and visited the Kampong houses. There's the beautifully decorated Bridal Chamber and the Throne where the couples, who are getting married, sat on... without smiling. Then there was a short demostration of Silat, Top spinning, Ketupat making and the Congkat.
Mahkota Shopping Centre!! Finally... it's surprising that we get to shop so early. Shop for about 1hr 30 mins... bought shorts, bag, pouch, shades. There's this shop... BUM CITY... awesome place... selling different brands of things... the shop is bright and attractive for the youth.
Gathered, had dinner at a restaurant near the shopping centre, way better then the lunch at the golf course resort. Then it was to Century Mahkota Hotel which is like just beside the shopping centre. Got out keys... and it was free time!! Free time... hmmm... shop!! We splited... some went to get snacks for the night 'party' and i went with Liff, Jon, Ding, Mit and Min to look for strap.
Ordered the superly cheap pizza at Pizza Hut and headed quickly back to the Hotel. Snacks, World Cup and drinks were our entertainment that night. And yes... the day someone had been waiting for... Birthday Bash. The Boys of 3074 were pillow-bashing the 'birthday' boy. We had pizza, cup noodles, ice lemon tea, coke, coffee, tea... hot water, cheesecake. It was just awesome la. Then we slept like 3 plus. That ends the first day and night.
Second day... scramble eggs!! After breakfast, we went to Jonker Street and A'Farmosa. Took lots of pics... haha. More shopping there... saw the temple, mosque. Got on the bus again... stopped further down for Chendol.... and er... saw Dodo World....... then lunch. Sat at the bar counter coz there isn't space. Cool ambience... saw the name card... 'western and italian'... i was Oooo.... they served us Chicken Chop for lunch!! That was totally sumptous.
After that went to Mini Malaysia... thought that was a waste of time... a performance where they danced... then they exibit houses from different parts of Malaysia and other ASEAN countries. Long ride back to Singapore.... reached Greenview at 8 plus... ah... Home Sweet Home.
