Con 4D
Came to church at 8... leave about 8 plus... then arrive at the Jurong West CHOICE Retreat Centre 45 mins later... it's for Youths and Children. First up was the allocation for the bunks... My bunk got 5 in a room... 3 beds... 3 pillows and 3 mattresses... we started stealing another mattress and 2 more pillows from another room... haha
Played some games... got to know my classmates Con' names... names i never heard before... THEN... the boring time started... all the talks, sharing and reflecting sessions... Praise and Worship with only 2 guitars... very spanish-like Praise and Worship. After meals... we slack in our bunks... then wait for people to call us down for the next session... always go in late... haha
Then come evening... we were told that we have to take the Sacrament of Reconcilliation or it's called Confession... where we confess our sins to the Lord where the Priest will listen and talk to you one-on-one.
Before that... i fell sick... wondered how i was gonna get through the night...
Before Confession... Father Bruno was talking to us about confessing our sins... Two main sins... Relationship and Sexuality... mainly it's about Love. He taught us what true love was... and how to test love... it's about feeling happy for the person you love...
here's the test...
Your girl wants to seperate from you... then you saw your girl with another guy... she is laughing... she is happy to be with that person... and if you feel happy for her... then that's love...
Confession...
very touching... Priest, Father Timothy showed me the candle... saying... 'this is the light of God... follow it...' then i start confessing my sins... then he ask questions... and all...
'Turn to God in times of trouble...'
and some more touching words... words of encouragement... forget already.... then said penance in the small chapel... The chapel is VERY nice... said penance... spent time with God... while the guitarist played soothing songs... very nice atmosphere... with lighted candles... some cried... coz it's difficult to confess your sins and all... touching moment for all of us.
There was more singing back in the hall... i gave up and went upstairs near my bunk... coz felt really sick... no key so i just sat upstairs on a flight of stairs... then the people came up... supper... skipped that... got the key... went to shower... then the people were suppose to gather... my friend and i just switched off the lights and hid in the room... to lazy to go down already... slept through the noisy night...
Next mornin...
i can say my class is the closest... too close that some of them were caught.... girls in guys' bunk!! Reprimand reprimand reprimand... then nothing already... breakfast was great... sausage with bread and eggs. 5 classes squeezed in the chapel for mass. Another spanish-like mass/service. Homily... he talked about yesterday... confirmation... other stuff... quite long... some almost slept... THEN back to tampines!! Stopped at the side of church coz got masses... my class went to eat at Long John... then went home. Slept... still recovering...
