1st Day:
Took plane (Malaysian Airlines) to Langkawi, Sheraton Beach Langkawi. The lobby was under renovation so... we were like dunno where to walk... and the resort is huge man!! Gave us some refreshments and a wet tower and then we took our card key. Oh it's a company trip, HHES, Hitachi Home Electronics Singapore. We had to take a Buggie back to our 'home' (room 1526). The wooden room is big as well... very nice. That was the day.
2nd Day:
Where all the happenings took place. Woke for breakfast. Had, scramble eggs, sausages, bacon and fruits. *burp* quite full. Went for the tour on Coach A, where the person told us about the history of Langkawi. 'Lang' means Eagle, 'kawi' means Brown.
Tour: 1st Stop- Cable Car... short distance... top of the cable car was about only 705 feet from sea level. But the wind is cold enough to make you shiver. Awesome view from the summit down.
2nd Stop- Eagle Square. Just a giant statue of an eagle, where we took our group photos. Had a horrible lunch there... 30 mins to eat, plus they serve very slow. First came the rice, then vegetable soup and later bread... (ya of all dishes the bread). Then they serve all the dishes almost at once, steam fish, fried squid and prawns... and there was meat... and more vegetables... and noodles... so obviously we could fill in no more.
3rd Stop- Kuah Town. Shopping. Tour guide said that there were no shopping complexes in Langkawi. Thought Kuah Town will be lively, something like night market...... but no... it was dusty shop houses... quite regretful. Had only 30 mins of shopping time... bought a few things like shirt and sourvenirs. Then we headed back to the Resort.
Telematch- yup, we had a telematch at the beach... where we form 4 groups of 10 to play a game, challenging each other. I was with Dad and Sis and other members in Blue team! First game was to find watermelon hidden under the sand, break open and eat it all... first team to do so wins. We got 2nd! Then there were others la... lazy to type down... but i felt that last year's Telematch was much more fun. Anyway we got 3rd overall.
Dinner... at the Ballroom...
Theme: Rainbow.
I wore a soccer jersey... that was the only colourful shirt i had. The whole ballroom was filled with colours... even the table cloth was rainbow. They had lucky draw where everyone wins something... there were a total of about 135 people. I won the 129th price................ dad won 50th plus and Sis 12th... she won a washing machine.... although we just repaired our washing machine. I crammed as much food as possible... spaghetti, rice with dishes... woh... a whole lot of food... oh drank a glass of beer too... hehe... not too tipsy. They had quizes and all, but the MC was boring. Took pictures... with japanese... children. Head back, sleep.... and fed the mosquitoes.......... *smack* (missed... man these Malaysian mosquitoes are good.)
3rd Day:
Same morning breakfast... although ate a little lesser. We went on our own to Kuah Town as it was free leisure time... we went there to buy more things... finally bought the strategic game i wanted- Age of Empires 3... hopefully can install... can use that as my entertainment, overtaking my spoilt PS2... and ever-losing game of PES... We could actually go for the optional tour... where there is eagle feeding and island hopping... didn't know we could go.... wasted... heard the people who went had a lot of fun man... checked out at 12... lunch... waited at the airport for like more than1 hour... boarded the plane... headed back to real home. Days past pretty quicky man... well i kinda enjoyed myself la... but wasn't the best trip? Yea... it wasn't... but it was good enough... :)
