Finally got to the checkpoint. My company gathered and straight away was sent for a mission... no rest. The Sergeant gave me some extra ammo. And we headed for the forest where the enemy has located their heavy machine guns and bazoocas, which were preventing our allies from crossing. So my company obviously had to deactivate that area and make it safe for crossing... so we're at the front line! My ally were mostly injured in the fight... only my friend, a corporal and me survived without much damaged. It was safe for crossing now..... getting closer to Normandy...
The day seems like everyday. I was given a free penknife, pen and a notepad!! Found a cheaper place to 'makan'. Served a few customers. Some friendly, some ignorant. Then the morning shift people left, so left my friend one girl and me. No senior! But we managed alright...
